The Writers Guild of America Awards nominations have been postponed till Monday, Jan. 13, as a result of Southern California fires.
An announcement supplied to Selection by WGA West and WGA East reads: “With Los Angeles underneath a state of emergency as a consequence of a number of wildfires, we will likely be delaying the announcement of nominees till Monday, January 13, 2025.”
The transfer follows the Academy of Movement Image Arts and Sciences extending its nomination voting interval by two days and transferring its 97th Oscar nominations announcement from Jan. 17 to Jan. 19.
