Are the boys back? Oasis has not been seen on stage since 2009

Liam and Noel Gallagher have fueled speculation that an Oasis reunion is finally possible as the brothers teased that a band announcement could be made on Tuesday.

A short clip in the same font and style as the band's famous logo appeared on the brothers' social media accounts on Sunday. Official Oasis page.

It displays the date “27.08.24” before flashing, then reads “8 am”.

Fans of the Manchester rock band have been appealing for the brothers to reunite since they split in 2009 after fighting backstage at the Rock n' Scene festival in Paris.

The Sunday Times report, citing industry insiders, says the brothers are set to play a string of shows next year, including shows at London's Wembley Stadium and Manchester's Heaton Park.

There is also speculation that A Glastonbury A title slot may be in the works.

Liam Gallagher spent much of Sunday responding to the rumors on X, formerly known as Twitter: “I never liked that word before,” he said before sharing news articles about the reunion rumors.

In his title Reading Festival Sunday evening was set, and he dedicated Oasis “I'd like to dedicate this song to Noel Gallagher” and track Half the World Away to his brother.

He then offered cigarettes and wine to people who said they hated the band.

At the end of the gig, the same teaser clip showing the Tuesday date appeared on the main stage screens.

Sure, maybe? An Oasis reunion tour could be a huge money spinner for the band.

The hype has sent fans into a frenzy, with many sharing their excitement and criticism online.

One online fan said Heaton Park was “a terrible place for concerts”, to which Liam replied: “See you next time…”

Asked when the reunion dates would be announced, another replied, “Next Friday…”

The brothers have always had a fractious relationship and have broken up over the years on tour, culminating in a backstage fight in Paris in 2009. As a result Noel left the band.

It's been 30 years since the chart-topper, and certainly perhaps by Oasis, catapulted the Gallagher brothers into stardom – helping to kick off the Britpop era and Hellraising launching the duo into mega-stardom.
