(Reuters) – Two Ukrainian bombers and 27 drones were destroyed over Russia’s Kursk, the governor of a region bordering Ukraine said on Sunday.
It is not clear what weapons were destroyed. The governor of the Kursk region Alexei Smirnov did not provide more information in a post on his Telegram channel.
The Ukrainian military later announced on Telegram that its forces had destroyed the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile system in Kursk.

Moscow launched a wave of counter-attacks and has captured about 40 percent of the territory taken since then, but Kyiv still controls about 800 square kilometers (309 square miles) of the region, Ukraine’s military chief said on Sunday.
