Texas woman released from hospital with bus license found dead, family says: Reports

A Texas woman who was released from a hospital early Tuesday morning with a bus pass was found dead, her family told local media.

Stephanie Troilo, 58, was last seen Tuesday morning from Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio, part of the Baptist Health System, television station KENS reported.

Her family reported her missing Wednesday, the San Antonio Police Department confirmed to USA TODAY Monday afternoon.

It wasn’t until Sunday that her body was found, KENS and KHOU reported. His body was found in a stream bed two miles from the hospital where he had been discharged.

According to his brother, Chris, police do not suspect foul play and he may have died after treatment. He told KENS that he may have had a seizure on Monday and ended up in the hospital.

He was confused when he was admitted to the hospital and did not know who he was, he said. His brother also told the television station that Troilo was taking medication daily, including anti-seizure medication.

His family was worried because it was very cold in this area when he was released and he didn’t have much on him.

“He was taken out of the emergency room, around 5 in the morning and given a bus to go on his way,” his brother told the newspaper. , surprisingly, from the Northeast Baptist Emergency Room.”

The Baptist Health System did not immediately respond to emails, texts or calls from USA TODAY on Monday.

The San Antonio Police Department did not respond to questions from USA TODAY about how she was found or the cause of her death, citing an “open investigation.”

According to Troilo’s brother, he suffered from epilepsy and mental problems. He was also “brave and tough,” his family told KENS.
