Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby continues to make NHL history.
With the primary assist on Bryan Rust’s goal in the first period against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday, Crosby tied Gordie Howe for fifth all-time in NHL single-franchise assists.
Crosby joined Ray Bourque, Wayne Gretzke, Steve Yzerman and Mario Lemieux in the top five all-time. He needs just 10 assists to tie Lemieux and just 88 to tie Bourque for the NHL record.
