Prince Andrew, the British King’s brother who has stayed away from public life following his infamous TV interview justifying his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, is in the crosshairs of another controversy over his friendship with a man accused of being a Chinese spy.
The BBC reports that Andrew released a statement on Friday, saying he had “ceased contact” with an unnamed businessman accused of espionage, that he met the man “through official channels” and that “nothing serious was ever discussed.”

The alleged spy, known as H6, was banned from the UK after a verdict by a secret court in 2023, when, the BBC reports, judges were told he sought to boost Andrew’s power. The press office of Buckingham Palace did not comment on the allegations, saying that Andrew was not a member of the royal family, and therefore outside their domain. The BBC requested but did not receive a further statement from Andrew.
Saturday London Times The newspaper continued the story, saying that Andrew continued to write the address of Buckingham Palace for the Chinese arm of his first investment company, even though he was ordered to stop in 2019.
