Plans to build Britain’s biggest Muslim cemetery for 12k people have been hit by local residents

This is the site planned for Britain’s largest Muslim cemetery and has sparked strong opposition from local residents. Aerial images show the size of the proposed 45-acre Garden of Remembrance which would have 12,250 burial spaces, burial grounds and chapels. The cemetery scheme was launched by the billionaire Issa brothers on land near Oswaldtwistle, west of Blackburn, Lancashire, which has a population of just 10,815.
