Police in Minnesota may have a recording of OJ Simpson confessing to the 1994 double murder of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, they found as part of a search warrant in a separate investigation.
The recording allegedly on the driver’s license belonged to the former homicide detective, according to a warrant obtained by TMZ.
Police say Simpson may have implicated an unidentified person in the recording, which the Daily News could not confirm.
The fingerprint is said to be in the hands of the Bloomington Police Department, but the contents of the document are still under investigation, according to documents cited by TMZ. Simpson’s attorney told the outlet that he could not comment on the facts of the alleged driving.
A search warrant was allegedly found inside the bag of Iroc Avelli, who worked for Simpson at one point before the disgraced NFL star died in April. Avelli’s attorney is said to have shown Los Angeles police that the drive contained Simpson’s recorded confession.
Avelli’s bag was allegedly found as part of an unrelated investigation into the double murder, although details of the case have not been released.
Simpson was famously tried for the murder of his ex-wife and an acquaintance but was acquitted in 1995.
Simpson was 76 when he died of cancer earlier this year. He went to his grave and kept himself innocent. No other suspects have been named in this gruesome murder.
