Luigi Mangione Prisoner Mourns For Accused UnitedHealthcare CEO To Be Released On TV

The inmates of the prison where Luigi Mangione is held may be behind the robbery, but they have spoken out in response to the reporter’s questions through the window. On Wednesday, December 11, a NewsNation reporter was speaking outside the State Correctional Institution Huntingdon in Pennsylvania. Inside, the prisoners seemed to be watching the news, because they began to communicate with reporter and anchor Ashleigh Banfield, even answering questions on the air by shouting through the window. After Banfield said in the broadcast, “Can I ask the boys, if they can hear me right now, if they can answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ a lot, Luigi has a television in one of his cells?” a chorus of “no” could be heard in the distance.
