The inevitable happened Thursday night when Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani were both named MVPs of their respective leagues for the 2024 MLB season. While neither result was a shocker, the unanimous vote for both further proved how historic and impressive their campaigns were.
Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman talk about the BBWAA’s decision to name Ohtani and Judge the best in their respective leagues, why there really should never be a doubt that the two will win unanimously, and then go through the rest of the voting to see some of the more unique MVP votes you maybe they didn’t expect.
Also on this episode of Baseball Bar-B-Cast, the boys are joined by New York Yankees outfielder Caleb Durbin to discuss his placement on the Yankees’ 40-man roster, how tweaking his swing has helped make him a better hitter. He felt the FOMO watching this recent postseason run and his time at the University of Washington. Then Jake and Jordan give the latest on when Roki Sasaki might sign, before picking out The Good, The Bad and The Uggla this week.
