A shocking poem that appears to capture Liam Payne’s final moments shows the legendary One Direction singer being dragged through the living room of his Argentinian hotel – an image that has left grieving girlfriend Kate Cassidy lamenting the missed opportunity to avoid his tragic death.
“Every time it seems like it doesn’t hurt anymore for Kate, it hurts more,” a close friend of the 25-year-old influencer told The Post.
“He could have been saved, he could have been helped.” It’s frustrating – and infuriating. “
The disturbing CCTV footage recorded inside the CasaSur Palermo Hotel in Buenos Aires shows three men carrying a seemingly unconscious Payne out of the building’s main lobby.
The images were posted at 4:54 pm on October 16 – 13 minutes before Payne fell to his death.
The Post could not independently confirm the timing, but a Daily Mail report said the time stamp contradicted a CCTV image taken outside Payne’s room that was time-stamped seconds before the intruder’s image.
The 31-year-old singer was acting erratically in the living room for about an hour before she passed out, with one witness saying Payne was “squirming” on the floor, according to the outlet, which obtained footage from surveillance video.
Somehow, Payne ended up back in his hotel room alone at 5:17 pm
Minutes later, the “For You” singer had died from multiple trauma after falling from his balcony.
An autopsy found that the former boy-bander had an alarming mix of drugs in his system at the time of his death – including crack and so-called “pink cocaine” – mixed with ketamine and other drugs.
Payne died instantly of massive internal and external injuries when he fell, with experts at the time telling The Post that the singer appeared unconscious when he fell to the yard below.
The new news has been devastating for Cassidy, who began dating Payne in 2022 and believes there was time to intervene in the crooner’s tragic death. He had left Argentina two days before his fatal fall.
The CCTV footage is among more than 800 hours of video in and around the hotel being examined by investigators as part of Payne’s investigation.
The authorities are also submitting through many” testimonies from “hotel staff, family members, friends, medical professionals, biochemists and psychologists.”
Argentine police are still investigating the last days of Payne’s life. They believe that the singer partied with two prostitutes and went on a drug-fueled binge that resulted in a fatal crash. The prostitutes left the hotel after an argument over payment, officials said.
Local police are investigating three people in connection with the singer’s death, including his close friend, Rogelio “Roger” Nores.
They also named a former employee of the hotel, Braian Nahuel Paiz, who they say gave him drugs.
The 24-year-old admitted to two hotel meetings with the “Story of My Life” singer, but insisted that he did not sell her any drugs and only had “intimate” time with her.
A third man, Ezequiel David Pereyra, is being investigated for being a “drug dealer.”
