Brandon Graham’s season and possibly his major league career is over.
The veteran Eagles defensive end was injured early in Philadelphia’s 37-20 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. After the win, Graham confirmed that he had torn his left triceps and would be out for the rest of the season.
Graham was incredibly emotional in the locker room at SoFi Stadium when he spoke to reporters and said he had been dealing with a triceps problem for some time.

“At the end of the day, it is what it is,” Graham said. “There’s no point in crying about it, I just need to know that I gave it my all.” It hurt, but I’m telling you, I’ll be better.”
Graham had two total tackles and a sack on Sunday night. He moved into third on the all-Eagles list when he sacked Matthew Stafford in the second quarter. That brought Graham to 76.5 sacks in his career. Only Trent Cole and Reggie White have more.
Graham finished the season with 18 total tackles and 2.5 sacks.
Graham started in the league with the Eagles, who selected him with the No. 13 pick in the 2010 draft out of Michigan. Since then, he has been a fixture on the team’s defense and became the first player in team history to start 200 regular season games.
Graham is perhaps best known for sealing the Eagles’ victory in Super Bowl LII. He got to New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady late in the fourth quarter and forced a perfect strip sack that gave the Eagles the ball. It was the first turnover of the match and it couldn’t have come at a better time.
Sunday night’s win moved the Eagles to 9-2 on the season. They hold a solid lead in the NFC East heading into next week’s matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, where they will try to win their eighth straight.
While he hasn’t committed to anything — Graham said he’s still trying to process the news — the injury could spell the end of his entire career. The 36-year-old said before the season that he wanted this to be his “farewell tour” and signed a one-year, $4 million deal to return to the team last season.
“If I was going to go out like that, I gave it my all on the field,” Graham said, via Bleacher Report’s James Palmer . “All I know is that they’re not done with me yet… I’m happy where I am.”
