Armed robbers attacked a couple in broad daylight on a Beverly Hills street

Two people were hospitalized after a robbery in broad daylight on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills Sunday, police confirmed to KTLA.

Officers from the Beverly Hills Police Department responded to the 400 block of North Rodeo Drive, at the intersection of Brighton Way shortly before 1:30 pm on reports of the incident.

According to a BHPD news release, a man and woman were waiting outside the store when they were approached by four suspects, one of whom pulled out a gun during a physical altercation between the victims and the suspects.

“During the altercation, the suspects forcibly took two designer bags – one from each – containing cash and mobile phones,” the police said. “Another mobile phone was found nearby. The prisoners also tried to steal the man’s jewelry but they refused.

In a video of part of the incident obtained by KTLA, the children are believed to be all dressed in dark clothing and hooded sweatshirts and can be seen running from the scene. One of the suspects has an object, possibly a handbag, in her hands.

Crews were last seen running up Rodeo Drive and drowning on the sidewalk.

It is not clear if anyone was injured, but the man was seen on the ground as if he had been beaten and someone was kneeling on top of him, the other was shouting for help.

Medical personnel with the Beverly Hills Fire Department responded to the incident, but authorities said the couple sought treatment at a local hospital.

Their condition was not immediately available.
