A girl, four years old, is rescued from a cold car parked at a truck stop while her carer plays ‘art games’ inside.

A woman faces charges after leaving a 4-year-old girl in a car while she was playing sports during a traffic stop, police said.

Brittney Clark, 28, was arrested by police in Lincoln, Nebraska, last week, according to KOLN.

Police were first alerted to the problem after a caller told 911 dispatchers that they saw a teenage girl left unattended at Shoemaker’s Travel Center around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

The babysitter, Clark, was inside playing “art games” inside the truck stop, according to the report.

Games of skill are usually computer or casino games where players can win money.

Police went to the truck stop and found a 4-year-old child alone in the car with the radio playing, according to the report. The window was rolled down and the car’s engine was turned off.

The outside temperature at that time was around 24 degrees, according to the report.

The child had defiled himself when the police arrived at the scene.

Clark got out of the truck stop and told police he had left the heat on, the KOLN report said. But, the police showed him that it was impossible by turning off the engine.

Station staff said Clark had been playing games for two hours.

When officers went to arrest Clark, he bit one of the officers and pinned him in the waist, authorities noted. The child was taken to emergency care.

Clark was charged with child abuse and third-degree assault on an officer. His bond was set at $10,000.
