Police have reportedly seized Travis Kelce’s watch after his home was burglarized last month.
Sources told ABC News on Friday, November 22, that authorities were able to recover the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, 35, after his home in Leawood, Kan., was broken into on October 7.
The watch was recovered in Providence, RI, by authorities investigating a recent string of thefts that have hit high-profile athletes, according to reports.
The Leawood Police Department told PEOPLE they are not commenting on the investigation.
The home invasion of Kelce’s belongings occurred less than 48 hours after teammate Patrick Mahomes’ home in Belton, Mo., was also broken into on Sunday, October.

According to a police report obtained by PEOPLE earlier this month, officers from the Cass County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Mahomes’ home at 12:08 a.m. for a burglary/burglary call.
Police said there were no signs of forced entry, according to police.

On the 7th of Oct. At 7:33 p.m., Kelce’s home was also broken into, according to a police report obtained by PEOPLE. At the time of the crash, the Chiefs were playing the New Orleans Saints at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo.
Leawood police were called to the home the next morning at 1:36 a.m. where they reported that $20,000 had been taken and the back door had been broken.

The home of Milwaukee Bucks player Bobby Portis in River Hills, Wis., was also burglarized earlier this month, police told ABC News.
Portis, 29, announced in a video posted on Instagram and X (formerly known as Twitter) on Nov. 3 that he was playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers when most of his “valuables” were stolen during a home invasion while he was working. last night.
According to ABC News and Fox 4 Kansas City, the robbery of the home of the top players may be connected to a ring in South America.
“Several law enforcement officials familiar with the investigation” told ABC News on Wednesday, November 20, that the hack may have been part of an international scheme.

The sources added that this was just “another method” investigators were looking into.
“You don’t want to underestimate the person here,” said the insider, before adding that it was “very easy to know” where the players were on Sunday.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the NFL sent a warning to team security directors and the players’ union following the theft.
A source close to the situation told Pelissero that the fraud ring is “legitimate” and has “targeted” NBA and NFL players “over the past three weeks.”
“And it’s all over the country,” the source added.
