Autopsy results are expected tomorrow following the discovery of a woman’s body inside a fifth-floor apartment in a luxury apartment in Boston’s South End.
Sources told Boston 25 News that the case is being treated as a homicide due to “undisclosed circumstances”.
No one was in custody and no persons of interest had been made public as of Sunday night.
Neighbors of The Harris South End received emails about the death but did not hear any follow-up information.
“I watch a lot of reality shows. I wonder if it could be another murder, something planned,” said neighbor Jawad Husain.
Boston 25 News spoke briefly with a woman who claimed to be a relative of the woman whose body was found.
He declined to comment on the investigation and understandably asked for privacy.
Boston Police responded to a welfare check at 390 Harrison Avenue on Thursday night around 7 pm after receiving a call from a relative of a woman.
The police report said officers knocked on the door and entered the group after hearing no response.
“If there were any steps I could take that would help me be safe, it would be nice to know,” said one neighbor.
The apartment building has security cameras, has a 24/7 concierge, and uses key fobs for its elevator and access to the rooms.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
