Lamborghini unveils a new luxury hybrid SUV, the Urus SE, its first plug-in super SUV. Lamborghini CEO and chairman Stephan Winkelmann joins Yahoo Finance Autos Reporter Pras Subramanian and Asking Trend Host Josh Lipton to discuss new cars and the manufacturer’s luxury business.
“I think that we are in the best shape ever. We are now after the first nine months with a record. We have a record and also, most importantly, a record of operating profit,” Winkelmann says. He emphasizes the three plug-in hybrid models, Revuelto, Temerario, and the new Urus, saying that hybrids are “also important for future success.”
The CEO adds, “The fact that we have the whole line mixed together is really good because it’s a simple equation. [are] assuring our customers that the cars are [better] to do more than the previous generation, and at the same time, they have less CO2 emissions. “
Lamborghini plans to release its first all-electric car by the end of the decade.
