EPPD announces man dead after East EP shooting

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The El Paso Police Department (EPPD) has identified a man who died after a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning, Nov. 17 in East El Paso.

EPPD said Jerome Douglas Harper, 26, was found dead after a shooting that happened just after 4 a.m. on Nov. 17 at 6800 Bellrose. It is close to Airway and Viscount.

According to police, when officers responded to the scene and found Harper, he had died from a gunshot wound.

The Crimes Against Persons Unit has launched an investigation and is busy looking for more information, according to the police.
