Bills Mafia supports Mooney Ward charity after daughter’s death appeared originally on NBC Sports Bay Area
Beyond the Xs and Os on the field or court, sports can bring people together and create beautiful moments.
It happened before Sunday’s Week 13 game between the Buffalo Bills and the 49ers, when the Bills Mafia took San Francisco cornerback Charvarius Ward’s charity and shared it on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Ward’s 23-month-old daughter Amani Joy died tragically last month. Amani was born prematurely with Down syndrome and had heart problems from birth.
The post has been shared over 500 times with nearly 2,000 likes and 130 comments.
The mission of Ward’s charity “Change with Charvarius” is:
“Our organization is dedicated to empowering individuals with Down syndrome and their families through the provision of advocacy, education and research. We strive to promote inclusivity, understanding and support as members of this community realize their full potential and enjoy meaningful participation in society.” seek national impact in our efforts we have an acute awareness and focused effort to impact Southeast Mississippi. After missing the last three games, Ward returned to the team and was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice – a good sign that he could play in Buffalo.
During Thanksgiving week, Ward is certainly grateful for the support of the Bills Mafia and fans around the league.
