‘Who thought this was a good idea?’

Vice President Kamala Harris’ first video to her supporters after the election stunned social media users on Tuesday.

The video, shared by the Democratic Party’s official X account, showed Harris speaking directly to supporters disappointed by the recent election.

“I have to remind you, don’t let anyone take your power from you. You have the same power as you did before Nov. 5, and you have the same goal that you did. And you have the same power to act. and encourage

Many X users were commenting on Harris’ appearance in the video, commenting that it looked like something had been “taken off” by the vice president and expressing their shared surprise.

“I’m not sure you guys want to add to this. There’s something, ummmm, off about the vice president,” Fox News contributor Joe Concha joked.

OutKick reporter Mary Katharine Ham wrote, “If you’re giving your phone to someone to save your social media posts when you’re down, you want to give it to someone who loves you.”

Senior National Review online writer Dan McLaughlin responded, “No video like this could ever be released by a politician who isn’t hated by his staff.”

“The fun is over,” the Republican Committee of Prince William County speculated.

Former Trump White House adviser Ben Williamson said, “I was reading 5,000 comments about how this was allowed to be released.”

“They didn’t let him go @joerogan but they let him do this,” American Principles Project director Terry Schilling posted with a facepalm emoji.

“Who thought that this was a good idea? Who is this? What is this? What does he even say? Again, I will repeat again that we are ruled by nonsense,” Atlantic contributing writer Tyler Austin Harper wondered.

National Review senior political reporter Jim Geraghty wrote, “Aside from that, er, hot vibe, the ‘don’t let anyone take your power’ message is probably less than ideal as a theme during a peaceful transition of power.”

The video is said to be from a call Harris made with donors and volunteers earlier today where he talked about his election loss for the first time since he endorsed President-elect Donald Trump.

“The outcome of the election is clearly not what we wanted. It’s not what we worked hard for. But I’m proud of the race we ran, and your work was difficult. What we did in 107 days was unprecedented.” Harris said.

Harris has been on the sidelines since the election and has been vacationing in Hawaii with second husband Doug Emhoff since last week.
