HOLLAND – The Holland Department of Public Safety Detectives have identified a possible suspect in the recent robbery of Super Hideaway Gaming and the recovery of stolen property.
The theft occurred early Sunday, November 10, and involved the theft of more than $15,000 in merchandise, including $14,000 in singles and $1,600 in closed products.
After reviewing surveillance cameras on the day of the burglary, police were able to identify the vehicle they believed was used in the robbery.
In another version published Tuesday, Nov. 26, HDPS said it found a vehicle matching the description of those seen in the surveillance photos and obtained a warrant to search the vehicle. During the search, the police found many of the cards taken in the robbery.
Super Hideaway Games, located on Washington Avenue in Holland, was robbed Nov. 10, with $15,000 worth of cards stolen.
Holland detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances and plan to submit a report to the Ottawa County Prosecutor’s Office requesting charges in the near future, according to the release. The suspect’s name was not released Tuesday.

According to a previous report from HDPS, this robbery does not appear to be random – and is similar to other recent break-ins at stores in Kentwood and Grandville, as well as Ace Sports Cards on Eighth Street.
Since the collapse, owner Aaron Mooneyhan has been left to pick up the pieces. He launched a campaign on GoFundMe to help recoup some of his losses. It has since raised $3,805 towards its $5,000 goal.
Mooneyhan declined a request from The Sentinel for further comment following the HDPS update on Tuesday.

Mooneyhan previously said that the money raised in the GoFundMe would help fix the business and help restore the closed and single directory while allowing them to upgrade their security system.
“We were counting on these singles (because) they sell fast in the store and online,” he said. “It’s very sad that we can’t serve our customers who trust them at the competition and play and collect.”
