According to Nick Muse, there is no such thing as bad NFL history. There is only NFL history that Muse and his older brother Tanner have made.

Nick Muse, the tight end, was waived by the Minnesota Vikings on Monday, which also happened to be his birthday. An important and not only unfortunate coincidence is that on his birthday three years ago, the Las Vegas Raiders also waived linebacker Tanner Muse.

“Look at that! You know what it’s called? It’s called NFL history,” Nick said in a video posted on the social network. “How many times have both brothers cut themselves on their birthdays?”

“That’s pretty sick to me,” he continued. “I mean, it’s a bad side of NFL history, but hey, you win some, you lose some. Cherish the birthday news.”

Kudos to Muse for making light of the Vikings’ tight end just two days after the team activated him from injured reserve and opened his 21-day practice window under NFL rules.

Muse, 26, was in his third season with the Vikings after being selected in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of South Carolina. He appeared in three games with Minnesota this year. He played in 15 games during his career, recording one reception for 22 yards.

Not only was Tanner infamously fired on his birthday, but the move came after the Raiders wished him a happy birthday. on social networks. (Unfortunately, it appears that the Vikings he did the same.)

Tanner was cut during the 2021 preseason after missing his entire rookie campaign with an injury. He played four NFL seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, Los Angeles Chargers and Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars waived him on November 5th.
