The former Spurs and England midfielder had his contract terminated earlier this week after an investigation into allegations about his conduct at work. The tabloid says BBC staff are “horrified” by the texts, which they say have “crossed a line”. I'm so embarrassed, the front page of the Sun has a headline next to Jenas' picture. In an interview with the Sun newspaper, the former footballer says he made a “huge error of judgement” and apologizes to his wife and the women he texted. News of Italian scuba divers recovering what they believe is the body of 18-year-old Hannah Lynch is on the front page of the Daily Express. The newspaper shows Hannah cuddling a dog, and the paper says in its headline that she is “taken in the slump of her life.” The Daily Mail also has a picture of Hannah Lynch hugging her father, Mike Lynch, who was rescued from the Bayesian superyacht that sank off the coast of Sicily earlier this week. The magazine says the family is “devastated”. At the top of the paper, former prime minister Boris Johnson tells the tabloid he is “deeply concerned about freedom of speech in Britain” in his column. Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Defense Secretary John Healy says Vladimir Putin's “weak grip” on Russia has been “shaken” following Ukraine's recent march towards Kursk. In an article for the Telegraph, Healy says the Russian president's “cabal” may be facing growing internal pressure. According to the front page of the i newspaper, HS2 trains are far higher than existing station platforms, describing it as “the latest casualty of a project that will leave taxpayers with yet another big bill”. Finally, the Daily Star pays tribute to Hannah Lynch and has the latest on Storm Lillian, which saw winds of up to 70mph hit northern England and Wales.
