The pilot is wondering if they’re making a mistake in setting the limit – while publicly crying in the process.

Reddit user WineCountsAsFruit turned to the platform’s “I’m A——-” forum to talk about an in-flight altercation with a fellow passenger and ask fellow Redditors who was at fault.

“So, I get on the plane, I sit in my economy seat,” the user began, before sharing that a woman approached and “asked me to change seats to 32b so that her 9 yr old could sit with her.”

“I ask how much he will pay me back for the money I spent on the chair,” he continued, “He says I am cruel to leave his child struggling and sitting alone.

The Redditor pointed out that the woman tried to sit with her son in the coach unless she had him join her in the expensive seats, which she said “he wanted leg room.”

“I made it clear that she cares more about her comfort than her son’s well-being, [and that] if he was concerned, he would leave his seat and go back,” the passenger continued.

That’s when the mother showed that she was mentally disturbed.

“He cries and screams ‘HOW COULD YOU DO IT,'” the passenger said, adding that “10 minutes later a smiling man sits next to me smiling about his beautiful improvement.”

However, now the Redditor is reconsidering the decision to reject the post, ending the post with, “My partner says IATAH. [I am the a——-] by asking his parent in public and crying for him… is it me?”

“NO [not the a——-]. He is in trouble because he cannot plan and plan in advance so that his son is not left alone, unable to put aside his comfort in front of his precious son, and thinking that anyone owes him for being a poor planner. ,” someone said.

In response to the statement, the OP provided some context, writing, “When I booked my seat, hers was already booked so she started booking. It didn’t seem like bad planning, it was like she only wanted to pay for one higher seat and wanted to blame me for giving up my seat.”

A spokesperson said the woman was breaking the etiquette of changing seats.

“Everyone knows that when you are looking to exchange seats, you always give a better seat to the person you are disturbing,” they wrote.
