LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – A train car fire caused traffic to be closed in the downtown Las Vegas area Friday night.
The incident occurred shortly before 5:30 p.m. causing the closure of Main Street from Lewis Avenue to Bonneville Avenue, according to Las Vegas Metro Police.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue posted a video on its X account of the fire and said first responders at the scene found several cars on fire inside the train. From 6 pm, the event continued to work, however, the fire crews had contained the fire to the train from where it came from.
The fire is near a pedestrian bridge in downtown Las Vegas. No other information has been released.
