Jennifer Goforth, director of STEM (K-12) for the Montclair Public School District, died Friday, the district announced.
“Ms. Goforth will be remembered as a dedicated teacher, who was dedicated to the success of our students,” Montclair Interim Superintendent Damen G. Cooper wrote in an email to the school community.
Goforth has been STEM director since 2014 and was previously in the district from 2001-2006 as a high school math teacher, according to his LinkedIn profile. He also worked for Rutgers University and the West Orange and Newark school districts.
“He has worked tirelessly to create new, innovative opportunities for our students to grow and succeed in their studies,” Cooper said in his email.
