2 undocumented immigrants arrested after road rage shooting in Virginia

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va.Two undocumented immigrants were arrested after shooting into a car during a traffic incident in Loudoun County, Virginia on Tuesday.

The suspects are identified as 29-year-old Jimmy Paredes Madrid and 34-year-old Aldo Betancourth Rivera, both of Sterling and not listed according to authorities.

Police say they received a report of shots fired in the area of ​​East Maple Avenue and South Lincoln Avenue on December 3, around 9:30 p.m.

It was found that the suspects threw a gun at a car that was sitting during an incident that showed street violence. The vehicle was damaged, but no injuries to the driver or passenger were reported.

“I am determined to do everything in my power to protect the citizens of Loudoun County and will continue to push for more aggressive immigration to rid our country of illegal drugs, gangs and violent criminals,” Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said in a statement Friday. .

“It is difficult because there are many people who work here and provide aid in the community of Herdon, in Sterling, in the Loudoun region. But there is also the issue that there are illegal immigrants who commit crimes and something needs to be done. But it must be done in a reasonable way. There are many families who are trying to get out of a terrible situation in their country and they come here to look for a new beginning but still there’s a crime, whether it’s illegal or not. No – I really worry about him,” said Feather.

Betancourth Rivera is charged with 2nd Degree shooting into an occupied vehicle, a class 4 felony.

Paredes Madrid is charged with shooting from a vehicle and shooting into an occupied vehicle, both class 4 felonies, as well as discharging a firearm, and trespassing.

All inmates are being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
