Lawrenceville police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that left a driver dead.
Just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, police were dispatched to the area of Buford Drive on Hurricane Shoals after receiving multiple calls about the crash.
The investigation revealed that a vehicle traveling north on Buford Drive crossed into the southbound lanes and struck a Nissan Rogue head on.

The driver of the Nissan Rogue died from his injuries. Police said the driver and passengers in the car were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police say alcohol is “a factor” and charges are pending. The driver who will face charges has not been identified.
Officials have not released the name and age of the deceased driver.
